The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) have released the official notification for the 2026 RRB Group D (Level-1) recruitment across various railway zones in India. This recruitment drive offers a great opportunity for 10th-pass candidates to join Indian Railways. Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
Candidates must be:

Citizens of India, or
-
Eligible categories such as Nepal/Bhutan citizens, Tibetan refugees, or persons of Indian origin with Government of India eligibility certificate.
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2026)
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 33 years
- Age relaxation applicable for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-servicemen and other categories as per rules.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification from a recognized board/institute on or before the last date of application.
- Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible to apply.
Medical Fitness
- Applicants must meet medical standards specified for each post.
- Candidates found medically unfit will not be considered for alternate posts.
Application Fee
- General/Others: ₹500 (₹400 refundable after CBT participation)
- SC/ST/Female/PwBD/ExSM/EBC: ₹250 (refundable after CBT participation)
- Fee payment is accepted only through online modes (UPI, debit/credit card, internet banking)
Selection Process
The recruitment will be conducted through the following stages:
- Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
Candidates will be shortlisted for subsequent stages based on merit and vacancy ratio.
